A decrease over the polar bear swim raft for nine days of food sources.
Researchers found female polar bear swim the Arctic Ocean for 9 days to find a patch of ice sheets and find new food sources. Point caused by global warming.
Foreign news agencies reported on 25 January from studies using male and female polar bears. The air-track. Found it to swim up to 9 days to find a new patch of ice sheets.
Current polar bear population has increased. Made it to swim hundreds of miles to find new sources for food. Midst of the ocean climate change.
From the GPS device small. Installed on the collar of it when two months before the researchers can analyze to find an area with plans to hunt precisely that. Advices that female bears this world to swim a distance of 420 miles through the current, extreme cold of the Beaufort Sea. North of Alaska. Cause it to lose the baby aged one year and lose weight to about 1 in 5.
Known to bear advices that the world can swim long distances. To go to the ice patch. but with global warming , the decline of the ice pad affect the distance it must travel in closer And risk being attacked on the way to the beast.
Based on the research of the Office of the U.S. National Geological Survey. Was published in Polar Biology. Expressed concern that "We would like to confirm that Talent in swimming distance of the polar bear Help them cope with the amount of ice in the Arctic Ocean have decreased. However, we noted that swim long distances and travel through deep water with only a small number of large ice cubes to make it an enormous waste so much energy. And the ability to spy thousands down with. "

The deteriorating situation along the Thai-Cambodian border is undermining confidence in Asean and affecting economic recovery, tourism and investment prospect in the region, said Surin Pitsuwan, Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in his urgent message to the two ASEAN Member States now trading fires with casualties on both sides.
"I am deeply concerned about the serious situation on the border between Thailand and Cambodia. This violent conflict must be brought under control and return to negotiating table soonest," said Dr. Surin.
The violent conflict started with gun fire and artillery duels mid afternoon Friday near the Preah Vihear temple. While the International Court of Justice decided in favor of Cambodia in 1962, the areas adjacent to the Temple remain under dispute.
"I have been in touch with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Cambodia Hor Namhong, and the Foreign Minister of Thailand, Kasit Piromya, and I have appealed for calm, maximum restraint on both sides, and expressed my fervent desire to see both sides return to a negotiating table as soon as possible, said the Asean Secretary-General.
Dr Surin Pitsuwan also called both sides to allow Asean to help bring them to some form of a temporary truce and cool down the emotions and temper so that a higher interest of both peoples and that of Asean can be protected and enhanced.
"The situation has escalated into open conflict. And that will definitely affect our economic development, confidence in our region, and tourism and prospect for foreign investment, which have just been picking up in light of the world economic recovery," said Secretary-General Surin Pitsuwan, who is a former Foreign Minister of Thailand.
Diplomatic sources said Indonesia, the current chair of Asean, is also stepping up its diplomatic efforts to help the two sides arrive at a temporary solution so as to allow the bilateral mechanisms between them to accomplish their objectives of border demarcation and a general peace in the areas.
"I understand both sides now welcome some form of mediation by the Asean leadership," Surin said, without elaborating.

Villagers want poisonous ore removed
KANCHANABURI : Klity villagers want ore tailings left over from an abandoned mine moved to a landfill site remote from waterways.
They have asked the Pollution Control Department to find a new place to bury the lead-contaminated tailings to prevent further poisoning of natural waterways and farmland.
Local mining company Lead Concentrate Co buried almost 3,000 tonnes of ore tailings from its mining venture, which closed in 1999. Tests of the water supply showed that the ore had contaminated Klity Creek, making many of the residents fall ill.
The company buried the tailings at sites about 10 metres away from the creek, the main water source of the village's Karen ethnic residents.
Many villagers developed lead poisoning symptoms.
Tests found the ore tailings contain 51,984 to 170,697 milligrammes of lead per kilogramme, which is considered hazardous waste under the Industry Ministry's definition.
The villagers met department staff yesterday to discuss how to deal with the vast amount of tailings at the site.
The department proposed four options: asking a mining company to extract lead from the tailings for industrial use; hiring a waste management firm to take the tailings away; removing the tailings to a site in the village more remote from the creek; and improving the landfill to prevent leaks of toxic substances.
The villagers said they preferred the third option of removing the ore tailings to another site in the village.
"Removing the lead-contaminated deposits out of the village will only cause problems to people in other places. So we have decided to keep it here, but we need to find a new site that is far from waterways and farmland," said Nitipon Tantiwanich, head of Klity village in Thong Pha Phum district.
Anuphan Ittharatana, director of the department's water quality management office, said staff would submit the villagers' demand to a subcommittee.
If approved, staff expect to move the tailings before the rainy season arrives in June, he said. The cost of moving the tailings would reach 14-30 million baht.
Mr Anuphan, however, said the department would not remove lead-contaminated sediment from Klity Creek as the mining company is obliged to handle that task.

A soldier was killed and two others injured when a roadside bomb exploded in Yala's Raman district yesterday while the team was escorting teachers to school.
Corporal Phadungphong Songarjin succumbed to injuries while on his way to hospital, though the other two Army rangers suffered minor injuries. The three victims were members of the 4113 Army Ranger Company.
Meanwhile, Hasman Jehba was identified as the key suspect behind the gunfire attack in Pattani on Thursday, which killed five and wounded four others at a busy market. It is believed that the attack was aimed at Buddhists. There is already a warrant out against Hasman for shooting dead a teacher in Pattani two years ago.
Hasman was once apprehended, but he jumped bail and has been on the run since. Police say Hasman and the five gunmen who took part in the shooting were still hiding in Sai Buri district.
Narathiwat's deputy imam Abdulwahab Jehpoh, meanwhile, expressed condolence over the deaths of the five Pattani residents and denounced the violence, which he said was aimed at separating the Muslims and Buddhists.
Some 29 clerics and imams based in Narathiwat's Sungai Kolok district have taken up the mission of educating Muslims about the Islam's teachings of nonviolence as well as tell them about His Majesty's speeches on peace, reconciliation and coexistence.
An expert on the peace process in the South, Asst Prof Srisomphob Jitphiromsri, confirmed authorities' speculation that the attacks are now aimed at causing a split between Buddhist and Muslim residents.
He warned authorities and the public to watch out for possible attacks against Thai Muslims, which would drive a further wedge between the two faiths and even prompt a violent retaliation.
"This is the ultimate goal of the insurgents in the South," he added.
Army commander Prayuth Janocha, meanwhile, called on insurgents to lay down their arms and surrender to authorities by the end of March. He did not say what would happen after the deadline.
